LeBron Raymone James Sr. (born December 30 1984) is an American professional basketball player with the Los Angeles Lakers of the National Basketball Association (NBA). He is known as King James he is widely thought of as one of the most successful players of all time and is frequently compared to Michael Jordan in debates over the greatest basketball player in history. James has won four NBA Championships, four NBA MVP Awards and four NBA Finals MVP Awards and three All-Star MVP Awards. He is also the proud owner of 2 Olympic Gold Medals. James scored more points during the playoffs. He also has the second most points in his career and has the seventh-highest number of career assists. The NBA All-Star has made the All-NBA Team 18 times, a record. James has also been selected for make the NBA All-Defensive First Team 5 times. James was the third player to play in the NBA Finals. Eight of these were consecutive between 2011 through 2018. James was chosen to be part of the NBA's 75th Anniversary Team for 2021. He was the NBA's first player to score 10,000 points, rebounds and assist in 2022. James played basketball at St. Vincent St. Mary High in Akron Ohio, where he was raised. The national media praised James as a possible NBA star. A prep-to-pro, he was selected by the Cleveland Cavaliers with the first top pick of 2003's NBA draft. He was voted as the NBA player of the year for 2004. Then he was one of the premier athletes of the NBA as he won an NBA MVP Award in the years 2009 and 2010. James, who was unable to take home the title in Cleveland in 2010, was released as a free agent and signed with in the Miami Heat. This was revealed as part of The Decision. It is one of the most controversial decisions taken by a free agent in sports time.
