Julia-roberts

Julia Fiona Roberts' parents are Walter Grady Roberts and Betty Lou Bredemus. Her great-grandfather John Pendleton Roberts, a farmer, was one of the first Roberts to settle in Atlanta. Her father was a young man when he became interested in theater. When he was a college student studying at Emory University from 1952 to 1954, he was a part of many productions. In 1953, he enlisted in the Air Force, and was stationed at Biloxi in Mississippi, he appeared in a show with Betty Lou Bredemus. They married in 1955. Their first son, Eric Anthony, was born in 1956. Walter was an undergraduate at Tulane University, New Orleans Louisiana. In 1957, the couple quit the Air Force and Walter started his education at Tulane University. Walter was employed by Atlanta Academy Theater and Harrington Scenic and Lighting Studio. In 1960, the family relocated in Decatur Georgia. Walter and Betty Lou produced a Saturday matinee local TV show that was aimed at children, called Bum Bum and His Buddies in 1964, a project that they funded themselves. In the following year, they established the Actors and Writers Workshop which ran for six years. In the meantime, they had two more kids Lelisa (called Lisa) Billingsley in the year 1965 and Julia (called Julie) in 1967.
