Ashley Madekwe and Ashley Leggat
Madekwe comes from an ethnically diverse family in South London in England. Her father and mother have both been English. She was raised on a south London council estate, and went to The Brit School at age 14. It was the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art is where she obtained an acting BA. She was on stage in numerous productions during her time at school such as the King Henry V, as Princess Katherine and Wuthering Heights, as Catherine Earnshaw.
Madekwe got her start in acting with a film titled Storm Damage. Since then she has appeared in Teachers as well as Doctors. Her debut film as a performer was the Woody Allen 2007 film Cassandra's Dream. She starred with Colin Farrell & Ewan MacGregor. After this success, Madekwe played Elisha in her role on the BBC Three drama pilot West 10 LDN and appeared on six of the episodes Trexx as well as Flipside. She also had the opportunity to play the role in the role of Bambi in The ITV2 drama series Secret Diary of a Call Girl and was featured in the episodes two and three. Madekwe also appeared on the comedy How to Lose Friends and alienate others (2008). Her stage credits includes Little Sweet Thing or Roy Williams as well as Flight Path of David Watson.
Madekwe made her official US debut in the 2009 drama series The Beautiful Life, which was only broadcast in the US on The CW before being cancelled. The actress was selected in February 2011 as Ashley Davenport on the ABC drama Revenge. Madekwe was in the episodes of the show's first two seasons as a regular. But in May of 2013, it was announced that word broke that the actress would quit the show due to her appearance as a guest on the first episode of the series' third season. She starred as Tituba in the TV show Salem from 2014 until the year 2016. Madekwe and her partner of many years, Iddo Goldenberg, were wedding in June of 2012. Both have appeared in Secret Diary of a Call Girl. They have also appeared as partners in Salem.
Ashley Leggat, an actress nominated twice for the Gemini Award, is a member of a large Hamilton family. Ashley Leggat joined Roy and Patty as well her older siblings, Brett, Todd and Bram as well as Rob. Ashley's brothers, who are all athletic, played baseball during the summer and played hockey in winters. Ashley did not have the ability to walk. She was a dancer. At just 2 1/2 years old and a half, she joined Baby Ballet. Ashley was enthralled by dance following this. Ashley was a competitor in ballet, jazz and tap in high divisions. Top soloists at major competitions such as International Dance Challenge, Showstoppers, 56-7-8 Showtime, Flash Dance, Dance, Dance, Dance and many more were awarded to Ashley.
