Lisa Edelstein was an American actress, best known for her role as the main character of Fox's House medical show. With a strictly Jewish childhood she was able to move from Wayne into New York City when she aged 18 and began attending Tisch School of Arts. But very soon, she became engaged in the city's nightclub scene, and was able to make enough headlines that she was seen by the media and concurrently, becoming aware of the devastation of AIDS. She utilised both her training in music and fame to create and star in a new musical, Positive Me. Awake In the Wild Side was her next job. When it ended up going off the show, she started appearing in television and film productions, initially in short roles before establishing herself as an actress.
